The tour announcement that lands in a chat, not a feed.
A stand-up comedian has a new city. A musician has a presale. An actor has a release morning. Squarebox messages only the fans who opted in for that artist, answers the ticket questions, takes payment in the chat, and reminds people the day of the show.
What this looks like before automation
If more than two of these are true for you, WhatsApp automation pays for itself well before the end of the first month.
- A tour post lives on Instagram for a day, then the algorithm decides who hears about the next city.
- The same questions — which city, what time, how much, is it 18+, where do I sit — get typed out hundreds of times.
- One blast goes to every fan, including people in cities that are not on this leg of the tour.
- People who already bought still miss the show because nobody reminded them the evening before.
- Brand deals, college bookings and press sit in the same inbox as "send the ticket link".
- The audience is rented. If the account is restricted, the tour has no direct line to the people who would have bought.

The flows we set up for celebrities & creators
These are configured during onboarding using your own data, not handed to you as an empty template.
City-wise show announcements
A new date goes only to fans tagged for that city. The message carries the poster, the price, the early-bird cutoff and a link back into the chat.
Ticket questions, answered
Age limit, venue rules, seat categories, refunds and "is the meet-and-greet separate?" are answered from the show sheet you upload, in the fan's language.
Poster, clip or voice note
The drop can include the poster, a short trailer, or a voice note the artist recorded. Fans get the file in WhatsApp instead of a link they never open.
Tickets and merch, paid in chat
A Razorpay link goes out in the same thread. When the payment lands, the fan gets a confirmation and the manager gets a ping.
Show-day reminders
Doors time, what to carry, and where to enter go out the afternoon of the show to people who already bought — and stop for anyone who cancelled.
VIP and brand chats to the manager
College bookings, brand collabs, press and meet-and-greet requests leave the fan flow and land with the person who actually closes them, with the chat attached.
Where a team actually uses this
Written so a manager can see their artist in one of these. None of them require a new app for the fan — the conversation stays on WhatsApp.
Stand-up comedian on a city tour
Talent manager
A new city is announced only to fans tagged for that city: date, time, early-bird price, poster and a pay link. The agent answers "is it 18+?", "two tickets" and "is there a meet-and-greet?" from the show sheet. People who pay get a reminder the evening before with doors time. Fans in other cities are not spammed with a show they cannot attend.
Musician — concert presale or new release
Artist manager
Presale opens for one city, then a wider drop. A voice note from the artist goes out with the poster. Merch is a second pay link in the same chat. Anyone who already bought stops receiving "tickets are live". The next city uses the same flow with a new date and a new segment.
Actor — trailer, premiere or OTT release
Publicity team
Release morning, opted-in fans get a still or a short clip and the question they actually ask: which theatre, which platform, what time. Replies are tagged with city so the next city-specific push is accurate. Press and brand requests route to the publicist instead of sitting in fan chat.
Sportsperson — camp, merch or appearance
Athlete management
Trial-camp seats, signed merch and paid appearances. Parents ask age group, ground and fee; the agent answers from the camp sheet and sends a pay link. A slot cannot be given twice. The athlete is pinged only when a booking is confirmed.
Influencer — product drop or brand collab
Creator manager
The drop goes to people who opted in for that creator, with the product photo and a pay link. Size, shade and delivery are answered from the catalogue. Paid-partnership and gifting enquiries are tagged and handed to the manager with the conversation attached.
Comedy club, theatre or festival
Venue desk
Subscribers in the city get this week's card: which shows, which prices, what is already sold out. Update the sheet when a show sells out and the agent stops offering it. The afternoon of the show, buyers get doors time, age limit and what not to bring.
Author, speaker or workshop
Speaking bureau
City, venue, fee and "will there be a signing?" are answered in chat. Workshop seats are real slots, so two people cannot take the last one. A reminder the day before includes what to bring. The bureau sees every enquiry on a board instead of inside one person's phone.
Fan club or paid membership
Community lead
Joining is a pay link in the chat. Members get early access, city alerts and a voice note that non-members do not get. Renewal reminders start before the membership lapses and stop the moment they pay.
Before and after integrating Squarebox
The point of automation is not that you have a chatbot. It is that these specific things stop costing you money.
What you will actually notice
- Each city hears about its own date, instead of every fan hearing about every city.
- Ticket, age-limit and meet-and-greet questions stop consuming the tour desk.
- Payment happens in the chat the fan is already in.
- People who bought get a useful reminder. People who did not are not chased on show day.
- The agency keeps a direct line to fans that does not depend on a feed.
We used to announce a city on Instagram and then spend the week pasting the same reply into DMs. Now Bengaluru only hears about Bengaluru, the ticket link is in the chat, and we only get pulled in when someone wants a meet-and-greet or a college show.
